Two Turtles and a Flamingo - Jean Farish

The newest sampler from Jean Farish is all about warm breezes and good times! Two Turtles & a Flamingo features the bright colors of summer and tropical places with motifs and an alphabet style based on traditional Mexican samplers. But the sentiment from a Van Morrison song and the variety of possible captions at the bottom of the sampler bring it right up to date!

The overall stitch dimensions are 115 x 193. the sampler features cross stitch and backstitch. Jean includes a stitch tutorial to replace some of the cross stitch inner borders with the herringbone stitch as an option.

This design can be stitched on Aida, evenweave, or linen. On 14-count fabric, the stitched area measures about 8 ¼" x 13 ¾"

The chart pack includes the chart in easy-to-read sections using black symbols on white. It also features 12 possible captions:
